The book enlightens the changes that occurred in London from the time Rosemary was living there. The library, Grocery store, and the lido were changes completely into new buildings and these were the places she used to visit frequently but now nothing was like it was before. The author tells us that you couldn’t sometime realize the importance of things and relations you have in your life because you consider them for granted and do not respect them. The same was with Rosemary as she was unable to be close to her husband in his life and now after his death, she realizes badly the love and respect she didn’t receive from anyone after the death of her husband. The book is full of lessons and inspiration. In conclusion, the book is emotional, romantic, thrilling, full of suspense, and interest.

The novel “The Island Home by Libby Page” is an enjoyable story that moves along at a good pace. It is not too quickly, but at a pace that keeps the reader engaged waiting to discover the outcome. It has a satisfactory ending which is a little predictable but ties up all the loose ends. Some of the male characters are a little too good to be true but that doesn’t spoil any part of the story. The author switches between the two time periods effortlessly and easily which doesn’t always happen in these kinds of books. Each storyline had a richness that was only strengthened by the comparison and contrast to the other.
