As we are awash in disinformation, Blackout, grounded in historical fact, is a game-changer. This book is incredibly well written, well-reasoned, well-documented, and timely. Candace Owens can come off aggressive. However, if you actually listen to what she says, she is full of common sense. She is a no-nonsense voice in a world that is loud and distracting.

“The Known World” is a fiction novel that tells the story of a black African farmer, Henry Townsend. The author of this popular novel is Edward P. Jones. Jones writes numerous novel and has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize, for fiction. Jones also received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2004. He has been an instructor of fiction writing at a range of universities, including Princeton. In “The Known World”, Jones describes a story of a black farmer, Henry Townsend. A farmer slave who garners his freedom and becomes the owner of his own southern anti-Bellum plantation and, curiously, master to a number of his own slaves. Around 1860, 28% of free blacks owned slaves as compared to 4.8% of southern whites so this is a very appropriate subject. Only the 1806 Act passed in Virginia that is referenced is historically correct. In addition, “The Known World” is a blockbusting novel to learn what that means, what is knowledge, what or who generates it, can it be trusted and how does it impact individual slaves. To sum it up, The Known World is a best-selling novel.

Tweedy puts the personal touch on a number of issues of intense concern to all of us today.Dr. Tweedy book reveals the story of inequities in medical care in our country as well as difficulties like he faced as a medical student and young doctor. Furthermore, Dr. Tweedy has done a masterful job of telling his story of defeating the odds and becoming a doctor. After reading this book, it will open reader eyes to consider how certain traits, attitudes, and behaviors have been passed down through generations. Multigenerational trauma due to 246 years of American Chattel Slavery and systematic racism has left a large seeping open wound in the minds, bodies, and souls of the descendants of American slaves. They have to focus on rebuilding their emotional physical mental and financial selves as well as their children. It is important to be aware that although most notable because they are Americans, Afro Americans have a different experience to various other groups of black people. I recommend this book for all community leaders, therapists, teachers, policymakers in order to stop the perpetuation of PTSS. In this memoir book, we read about Solomon. This awesome book was written more than 150 years ago and still an easy read and it will engage the reader from start to the end. It describes the real story of Solomon, who was born and raised as a freeman in New York. He lived with the American dream, her beautiful wife and two kids. He lives very happy and spends more time with his family. Solomon can’t think to stay away from his loving family because he loves too much with daughters and wife. But one day, he was trapped from his home by slave traders who specialized in the awful practice of kidnapping free black citizens and export them into slavery. Torn from his home and family, Mr. Northrup endured the worst that can happen to a human being and still live. To know more about Solomon life, then read this best-selling book.
