Doug Wead is the author of this book. Doug is one of the few living historians to have written about all of the American presidents. Wead has been an employee of ten presidential campaigns. He began as a writer for Ronald Reagan in 1979. In 1989 George H.W. Bush brought him on to seniors’ staff at the White House as a special assistant to the president. Wead makes two revealing observations about the race with the first being character. Hillary tried to make the character an issue by claiming Trump was temperamentally unfit, but most of the public believed her to be dishonest, so her character ended up being the bigger issue. There is an extended account of Trump’s family history, such as the death of his elder brother, his relationship with his father and much more.
