“The Stone Sky” is a great story to anyone interested in the cyberpunk type science fiction. N. K. Jemisin is the author of this novel. The author is a great Hard science fiction writer and really know how and when to entertain the readers. The story which he lays over this construct is great and it is certainly readable. This story is built with two protagonists and two slowly intertwining story arcs that meet in a very satisfying way. During the reading, readers can these scenes in their head very clearly. The dialogue is nice and tight and the author doesn’t over explain things or sail off into inconsequential avenues of exploration.
If you enjoy sci-fi with huge backdrops but drilled down and focused well developed characters, you will dig this. Bonus points if you are a noir fiction fan. One other note, this book aims to illuminate what the author imagines as an “in between” or middle stage of humanity’s journey out of the solar system. While many sci-fi stories focus on the near future and many others use the far-flung future as the grist for their tales. That said, this is an epic saga worthy to be called sci-fi. The ageless drama of every aspect of the human condition wrapped in a vac suit and hauling loads of ice home to feed and fuel the 40 billion humans on the inner planets.

The novel masterfully builds the tension until it reaches a fever pitch as the author finally begins putting the various pieces of the puzzle into place. There are plenty of unexpected twists and turns in store for the foursome as the truth about the events preceding.
It is an enjoyable read with constant developments between the past and the present. There are several sub-themes woven into the primary setting of the novel. It is a great story with an imaginative plot, believable characters and most of all heart and wisdom. It is truly a gem of a book. It shows that love is timeless. It will make your heart want to explode. This story is beautiful, magical and it’s a wonderful experience. In short, it is one of the best novels of all time that touch the soul of readers with powerful words.
“The Companions” is a story of love, loss, heartbreak, and unbreakable bonds. This novel is written by Katie M. Flynn. This is a gorgeous story about how life doesn’t always work out the way we want it to, but if we’re willing, we can still make it a great life. It is a good compelling story, engaging and easy to read. This is the perfect holiday novel, you can pick it up and get straight back into the story. The novel “The Companions” is an enjoyable story that moves along at a good pace. It is not too quickly, but at a pace that keeps the reader engaged waiting to discover the outcome. It has a satisfactory ending which is a little predictable but ties up all the loose ends. Some of the male characters are a little too good to be true but that doesn’t spoil any part of the story.
The author switches between the two time periods effortlessly and easily which doesn’t always happen in these kinds of books. Each storyline had a richness that was only strengthened by the comparison and contrast to the other. The book certainly brought all the feels, and elements of all characters. Throughout the novel, the story is smooth and generally moves along well. At the end of the day if you are looking for something that you have read similar to this before and don’t mind another, then this will satisfy you. If you are looking for something more than just an average read, that you will want to engage with, then this is also something you will enjoy.
