Mary Roach is the American funniest science author. She writes many other books and all of them are worth to read. Her writing has appeared in Outside, National Geographic, Wired, and the New York Times Magazine, among others. Her book whose name is Stiff, she explores in this book, what happens to the body when it dies.
The other book, “Gulp” she describes all kinds of strange experiments and examines the digestive tract. In the Packing for Mars, She did a lot of painstaking research, extensive travel and probably had to listen to thousands of hours of NASA transcripts. Mary Roach interviews astronauts and scientists, historians and charlatans and when research is not enough, she bravely participates in experiments.
