“The Book on Rental Property Investing: How to Create Wealth and Passive Income Through Smart Buy & Hold Real Estate Investing” is an excellent book to anyone thinking about getting into real estate investing. Brandon Turner is the author of this impressive book. Great book with a comprehensive understanding of rental properties. This book explains how to value investment properties and provides examples that are easy to understand. This book provides an excellent overview of what you need to know to dive into RE investing. It covers many aspects, some in greater depth than others, but rest assured, when you finish it, you will have a good idea of what you need to consider for rental property investing (both the do’s and the don’ts, including tricks of the trade). The author, Brandon, provides many first-hand stories to illustrate his points. His tone is friendly and enthusiastic, while also being realistic. He does not present real estate investing as a get rich quick scheme, but rather something that you work at in a smart and determined fashion. References to Turner’s website, Bigger Pockets, point you to useful tools (but not in a pushy way), another helpful benefit. If you are looking for a primer book to begin your entry into RE investing, put this at the top of your list. Overall, this is a good book for an aspiring real estate investor to get a decent understanding of the many facets of residential real estate investing.
