This book is written by Jon Meacham. He is the bestselling New York Times biography author. He was an optimistic person and man of strong faith and beliefs. In this book, the author tries to tell us how your courage and confidence is shattered by others. From his childhood, he likes peace and a calm atmosphere but with the passage of time, he came to know that the world and its problems are not so straight forward as he expects. He said that he had personally observed the justice system in America and he was disappointed and frustrated as a result. In this book, the author tells us the role your blood relations play in your life and he tells us that treat everyone else such that it is you. The author wanted to explain that you should have firm beliefs but nothing comes to you without struggle and society will not support you for everything so you should be self-sufficient in every aspect.  This is a formidable and inspiring book.
